Woof! My name is Reggie, and I’m a chocolate lab who’s almost 2 years old. I live with Chase and I’m part of the Carew Childcare family too.
I’m a very happy pup and full of energy — sometimes too much! I get so excited when I meet new people that I bounce, wiggle, and wag my tail all at once. Because I’m still learning how to calm down, I don’t spend time with the kids during daycare hours. Instead, I hang out in my own space where I can play, nap, and chew on my favorite toys.
Here are a few of my favorite things:
🦴 Snack time! I love peanut butter biscuits, crunchy carrots, and the occasional ice cube to chomp on.
🎾 Playtime! Chasing tennis balls is my favorite game, and I always think I can catch two at once.
💤 Nap time! My favorite spot is stretched out in a sunny patch on the floor — it’s like my own little spa.
🐾 Adventures! Walks are the best because I get to sniff everything. Did you know there are a million smells on just one street?
🐕 Being goofy! I’m really good at zoomies (running in silly circles super fast)
My journey in childcare began in 2013 when I was just 18 years old. From the very beginning, I felt called to work with children — to nurture their growth, celebrate their milestones, and support them during these important early years.
Wanting to deepen my knowledge, I went on to study Montessori Infant and Toddler Education in college. The Montessori philosophy resonated deeply with me, especially its emphasis on independence, respect, and the natural curiosity of each child. Those years of study shaped not only my teaching approach but also my vision for creating a childcare space rooted in love, patience, and discovery.
In October of 2021, I brought that vision to life by opening Carew Childcare. What began as a dream became a place where children can feel safe, inspired, and free to explore who they are. Every detail — from the daily rhythm to the materials and activities — is guided by my belief that children thrive when they are given respect, consistency, and opportunities to learn through play.
On September 19, 2023, Carew Childcare proudly became licensed through Hopscotch Daycare Agency, a milestone that reflects my dedication to providing families with high-quality, professional care.
Today, I feel incredibly grateful to do what I love each day: partnering with families and supporting children during their most formative years. My heart is in this work, and I consider it an honor to play a role in the story of each child who walks through my doors.
